Ok this has got to be the simplest idea...a Switch charachter button
Because im sick of having to log ALL the way out to switch charcters...its that simple.
It would need a prompt for your apssword though to prevent security problems.
Do you not agree?

AFAIK, you could do it in the past. But Anet removed the feature as a security measure, so that if a single character was trashed because you got up for one moment, the rest of your characters remained safe, or something along the lines. It might not seem like a huge deal, but there're people at various places around the world where it's hard to get internet in your own home that play at cyber cafes. A few more clicks for a little more safety isn't really that inconvenient.

do what i do.
put the password on the commandline and when you log out it automatically logs you back in to the character selection screen
also it is proof against keyloggers as you dont type in the pass.
havent typed the password in months
one click and the next character is in

Yep. Commandline it, hit your disconnect button, enter, left/right, enter, bam, back in-game lickity split.
